As a hobby shop owner I can tell you fuel is another one of those lost leaders that you have to have. You don't make much money on it just like kits but you hope when the customer comes in for fuel they pick up some tires and glow plugs and parts and now that $5 profit becomes a $30 profit. Nothing is worse than transponders though and that's why we don't even sell them. You have to buy 20 of them to get a decent discount and it takes 2 years to sell them and you make $100 profit combined on all 20. If you enjoy the hobby pony up and be glad your not trying to make a living at this

that what I was thinking I just bought a gallon of vp powermaster 30% and gallon of byrons 30% and I think each was like 25 bucks. it must be bc most of the fuel is made here in texas is why there is such a price difference.

You're probably right. $35.00 for a gallon of VP Powermaster 20% at my local HobbyTown (CA).

I know Byron's is made in Iowa. I do not think location has anything at to do with it. Basically, it is what it is and I'm ALL for supporting the lhs. I wish I had one! I like to touch and feel what I'm buying. if one of the hobby shop guys wants to step up and try to help me, I'm all ears, throw a pitch to me. My money, I think, is as good as anyone else's.... Or, there's always a main. I would rather try and help the small guy make a buck....

Yeah, they really need to make it so threads lock or disappear after a certain amount of time. Also, they REALLY need to make it so people with less than 50 posts have to post their questions in the rookie section, and they have to have more than 100 posts to start a thread. Think how much better those few things would make this place.

And people wonder why America has become the land of entitlement.....plenty of ways to make a "living". You would be surprised how many people on these forums hold down real deal "corporate" jobs and make well into six figures or more....

Off my soapbox to go buy nitro fuel at $30/ gallon.....

We pay anywhere from 45-60 dollars a gallon for fuel here in Italy. I would sell a kidney to get fuel as cheap as you guys in the states. As it is, I will probably have to sell the kidney to pay for my fuel here.
