Default Carbon vs aluminum shoes

Could someone tell me what the advantages and disadvantages are of each? I'm currently running M2C aluminum shoes and like how they grab but I'll admit it is annoying how you have to keep on top of removing the glaze off them.

Just an FYI, you have to de-glaze Carbon shoes also because they melt, but in addition to maintaining the shoes you also have to maintain your clutch bell because the carbon melts all over the inside of your bell and has to be sanded off. The grass is not greener on the other side of the clutch shoe....

I have been using Carbon and aluminum shoes together for4 years and it is a great setup. We used to run Kyosho we ran 1 carbon and 2 alum. Now we run Losi and run 2 carbon 2 alum (what it comes with stock) The carbon prevents the alum from galling up and the alum keeps the carbon from melting. I can go over 2 gallons before changing shoes or anything other than clutch bearings. Same setup on the truggy.

BAH! Just my luck. =p Oh well, aluminum shoes it is. At least, for my 3-shoe clutch setup anyways.
