in on track performance what does the xenon lack compraed to the xenon r, what do i lose
thanks
yes you can use it to clean your engine on the out side .
the xenon is more of a club engine and the xenon r is a comp engine
and what you lose is alum sleeve and balance crank and some upper rpm .

How do you guys rate the Matrix RW? I have one in my G4+ but have only had it on the track once and despite having way too tall gearing it would hang with a friends Rody V12 on the straits and only lose a little out of the turns!
Also I am using a VXR "X1" pipe! Is this a good combo?

hello jim

i am not entirely sure if i will be at the race or not, i do believe however that jamie corrado, our new york sales manager, should be attending as far as i know.

i have a really full offroad schedule this year, something like 4 or 5 races in the course of 3 months time

i did speak with our guys in france and the hope is to try and get someone from europe to come over and represent us there at winternats but there has not been any confirmation of who or if its even possible yet.

i will stay in touch with you in the coming weeks

hope all is well there in florida and looking forward to getting togeather with you after some of the offroad races for a couple of beers

happy holidays and talk to you soon

hello FITO

the engines that i have seen go 3-5 gallons were all on the orignal rods and piston and sleeve sets.

on those same engines we did replace the rear main bearings after about 2 gallons, but this because the acid in the nitro is very agressive on the metal and causes the balls to break down so to be safe we replaced them with a ceramic rear bearing.

the rods have been very good on the xenon series engines, as for what you gain or loose on the regular xenon versus the "R", the R since its an aluminum sleeve engine will be much more sensitive on the needle settings but the power of the R is much better all around.

if you are an experienced racer i would recommend the XenonR, if not i just suggest sticking with the regular xenon thats an ABC motor.

good luck and happy holidays

hello 2strokeAl

the matrix motor is actually faster than the v12 series engines but is more sensitive on the needle settings. if you really want to wake the motor up try the E1752_2611 speedline pipe of ours, its designed for the engine specifically and we have had the best results using it compared to any of the other pipes in our lineup.

i am not familiar with the pipe you mentioned you are using, for the best performance i would suggest trying the orignal pipe we recommend,

good luck and happy holidays

thank you

What's the difference between the 2611 and the 2604 pipes and how does each effect the performance of the Matrix RW?

I'm using a 2604 on a Matrix RW and it seems to perform very well.

Very interesting reading, thank you guys. I run a modded and bullet proof C5, just wanting to know what is the best pipe set for the motor, we run a very tight track and the more torque the better. Also what is the reasoning with the C6 motors coming out with composite carbs and the older C5 motors have the alu ones, my guess vapour lock and easier to tune, if that is the case then it should be a sipmle swap? I run 8th circiut.

All the best guys!

I'm using a 2604 on a Matrix RW and it seems to perform very well, however I see that you recommend the 2611 for the Matrix RW.
