Default LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic competition engine

The new LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic has been developed from scratch, profiting from the experience and input from their factory drivers, the result of which is a true rpm monster. Inside there are exclusively selected materials of the highest quality which together with an extremely precise manufacturing process results in a smooth power delivery. The new balanced crankshaft with carbon coating and silicone insert ensures minimum wear and low resistance. The newly designed engine head is extremely flat, flow optimized and lightweight meaning the centre of gravity is significantly lower compared to other competition engines. The end result is a motor with lots of power and super low fuel consumption.

Default LRP ZR.30 X Competition Engine

Does anyone know who makes the ZR.30 X for LRP? Is it Picco?

No. SH. Like the Mach, Dynamite, Losi, Nosram, Sportwerks, XTM, LRP Spec 3, etc.. mostly RTR engines.

EDIT - I don't think SH is actually the name of the company that produces them, as SH is just a distributor I think. But the producer of all these various 25, 26, 28, and 30 engines is often referred to as SH.

Picco was making the race engines for LRP - the ZR.21X and the ZR.21X Spec 2. But now it's OS... Picco seems dead or something..

BTW, not to say I necessarily trust them all that much, or think they're particularly indicative of real world performance, but what does an OS Speed supposedly put out on a dyno? I remember some magazine dynoing the Picco-made ZR21X and it was high for a .21 - like 1.75 hp or something.. Just curious..

Ahh that's right it's SH. LRP have had so many different manufactures make their engines I've lost count. Trying to remember who made their big blocks. Thanks for that.

Not sure sure about what an O.S makes on a dyno. I constantly hear that O.S engines power is smooth. Some say smooth power means "not a lot" others disagree with that belief.

I have heard Picco's do make a lot of power. The on-road 1/8th guys certainly rate Picco highly. No greater test of an engines power and durability than 1/8th on-road racing.

Ok found this:

1.71 HP according to CRE's testing.

On a side note they got 1.87 HP from an Argus A52, which is the highest I've seen from a stock .21 off-road engine.
