So Clackamas R/C Hobbies & Raceway is going to start club racing saturdays at 1pm on February 7th and a friend of mine came up with the idea to kick it off with an A-Main Raceway reunion and I thought that it was a great idea. So the plan is to get as many of the racers the used to race at A-Main back in the day to come together and race again on the same dirt we used to run on and any other racers that didn't race A-Main would of course be welcome too.
We also decided to move the Valentines Day race to the 14th of Feb.

Man, it'd be amazing if a big group of Salmon Creek (the original A Main Raceway / Hometown Hobbies group) regulars would show up. I've tried locating a bunch of these guys, and they're either off the grid (not on social media), or are so far out of the hobby that they'd be nearly impossible to pull back in.

This is cool. The track lay out was even done by a couple old A Main track builders. I started my racing career the last winter A main was open. Not much of a career but I made a lot of friends there. Racing at A Main also gave our track a kick start and I thank Tim for the help with that.

I was talking to Koetsch about one of the races. Anyone remember the Quad across the back wall? I was marshaling a car that had crashed and literally stood up as a car went sailing past my head narrowly taking me out. It was a great track- for me it sucked cause I was driving from St. Helens EVERY Friday to race.

I remember that Race- I had known Jimmy thru a motor sponsor- it was WAAAAY before he took over running Hot Rods. He was just a kid then.


Anyone remember the measurements of the HT/AM track?
