so in case you missed the board meeting, I announced the new race format for dirt oval this summer. more heads up racing, no more just running against the clock, and every heat race counts. gone are the days of the 5 minute heat race and mains. all races will now be laps instead of times. smaller dashes for the heat races and longer mains. heat races will be based on qualifying points and both heat races will count to seed the main events. here is a example of how it will work-
Novice-25 lap heats and 35 lap mains
SC and Sprint cars-30 lap heats and 45 lap mains with 35 lap B mains
4wd latemodel and both 1/8th classes-35 lap heats and 50 lap mains.

between round 1 and round 2 there will be a resort and invert for round 2. if you TQ round 1 you will be starting last in the A heat, if you finish last in the first round, you will be starting first in the B heat for round 2, etc. mains will be set based on your total points of both rounds of heats.

based on the laps, the heats will be between 3.5-4 minutes and the mains will still be around 5 minutes so nitro guys don't have to worry about fuel mileage. this will give a lot more heads up racing instead of just worrying about getting the best 5 minute time. and if your a fast guy in round one, you need to prove it by driving thru traffic in round 2. this is similar to the format just ran at the RC chili bowl race and it got rave reviews, more actual racing..

going to be a awesome summer...if anyone needs more clarification just ask and I will explain it. thanks

We have many new race cars being built for this season, along with a complete track overhaul. This is looking to be a great year for dirt oval in the North West!

Here's a new SC Mod Doug Pifer will run.

Here are a couple more of the loaner SC Mod bodies. You just need to bring a 10.5 rear motor SC truck with indoor clay type tires. And have fun!

If there is anyone interested in racing their touring car on the dirt oval, we have a class for them. Fastest cars on the track, and very simple to get converted. Most run Associated TC3/ TC4 and Losi XXX, they stand up well to the dirt surface, and tune easily. Mcallister RC makes 200mm-210mm dirt latemodel bodies for these and any soft touring car foam tire works.
