2015 CGRC and Sunset Electric 100% payback series
Back by popular demand for 2015, the 100% payback series brought to you by CGRC and Sunset Electric. Last year's series was a success and we are in the planning stages for this year's series with more details and dates to come. Stay tuned to this thread for more info and get ready for some epic racing this winter!
Here are the Rules:
This is a 10 race series and there will be 3 drops. We will race every Saturday from Jan 17th until Mar 28th with the exception of Feb 21st in observance of the February Freeze race at PBR in Grants Pass (which we plan to attend and encourage you to as well) All other Saturdays will count towards the series.
Sunset Electric will be matching dollar for dollar the amount collected for entries throughout the series per class.
Top 5 finishers per class will be paid back with gift certificates redeemable at CGRC and Cottage Grove Yamaha/Husqvarna.
There will also be a raffle at the season finale. For each class you race you will be given a raffle ticket, so the more you race the better your chance to win.
You must be present at the season finale to win in the raffle.
At the season finale there will be double points awarded toward point series totals.
Race format will be two 5 minute quals and double 6 minute A mains with 8 cars making the A and 2 bump ups from each lower main (6 mins)
Tie breaker is combined time/laps of both A mains.
Classes offered:
Novice (run what you brung)
2wd Stock Buggy (17.5, blinky, no sponsored drivers)
2wd Pro Stock Buggy
2wd Mod Buggy
4wd Mod Buggy
2wd Mod Stadium Truck
Pro 2 unlimited SCT
Pro 4 unlimited SCT
Slash Stock Spec
Vintage
Any 5 entries will make a new class
Any driver who made the podium for stock buggy or novice last season is ineligible to run that class for this season.
Unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in a disqualification.
Finally, the most important rule of all: HAVE FUN!
See you at the races!

Last year Sunset Electric matched the price of every entry in all classes and gave 100% of the money in the form of hobby shop gift certificates to the the finishers in each class. This is unheard of and is very generous of Sunset Electric. There was thousands of dollars given back to the racers. Hope you cane make it.

This Saturday the 17th will be the first round of the series. It will be a 10 race series going through the end of March. All details and specifics of the series will be posted here before the week is out. Big Thanks to Sunset Electric for sponsoring such an unheard of event where 100% of entries will be matched and given back to the racers. I am looking forward to this weekend and the great battles on the track.

There have been some questions regarding the Pro Stock class so I wanted to address them.
If a driver is good enough to have obtained a sponsorship from any factory or manufacturer outside of local hobby shops (chassis, electronics, tire etc) then they should be good enough to run pro stock and leave stock class to the privateer or "sportsman".
This is an experiment as I want to see the interest level in having this class distinction. Remember there must be at least 5 entries to designate a class.

I love this idea. Dunno if you meant to limit it to chassis sponsors only, Josh, but I think anyone having more than a hobby shop sponsorship should be relegated to pro stock.
