Right now the track is really hard packed and a bit abrasive. Most classes that we run every week are finding X2 compound tires to work the best. I have found almost any tire is working in 2 cell e buggy and 4wd SC so I was expect the same with Nitro classes. I was running suburbs and another guy here runs big blox and we was both hooked up, but my tires looked worse for wear.

Anyone try Barcodes in a gold (clay) compound?

The track did not like golds....WAY to slick today. I know 1 4wd SC driver that did pretty well with clay compound tires...they were AKA rebars I think.

the few times I've been to pbr. the track never liked golds or panther clay very well. AKA soft and jconcept green were 100x better.

The track is way to abrasive now for green or soft. Most 2wd are running X2 suburbs and the 4wd Blockades or Bigblox in X2.

Well the track is getting repaired and sugared before Friday. X2 and X3 work fine. Ran my ebuggy lite with X3 diamond backs and the tires barely show any where after 20 min, but with fresh sugar its a different story.

Also anyone coming for the OSS on Saturday....if you stay for Sundays club race....we will give you an awesome discount.

Food will be available at the track, we do have some onsite parts too in the hobby store

Not sure if "fresh sugar" is the best idea if it is just going to eat tires????? We all like traction, but 90% of the cars this weekend will be 4wd and I don't think people can just "throw" tires at a track? Just my 2 cents.

We will be hosting the final round of the OSS series for 2014 this Saturday the 18th at Poorboy Racing and Hobbies in Grants Pass. Doors will be open at 8am and racing will start at 10am. We will be running all the OSS classes (1/8 Buggy, 1/8 Truggy, 1/8 Ebuggy, 4WD Short Course) as well as 1/10 electric classes (2WD buggy Open, 4WD Buggy, 2WD Short Course, Stadium). Of course each class is dependent on entries. Five entries make a class.

The track is somewhat a bit tighter but faster then before and we will be using carpet on the top and downside of the jumps to help protect them and make it consistent lap after lap.
