PNW-Showdown Round #3-Tacoma R/C Raceway. Jan 11-12
Track address - 4802 South Adams Tacoma, WA
Tires - most everyone uses gold bar codes V1. For inserts in 2wd buggy most use open cells in the front (usually the ones that come with the bar code rears trimmed down a little and used in the front) and either AKA or proline closed cell in the rear. For 4wd buggy most use closed cell all the way around.
Schedule - Monday through Friday will be determined by the track, details soon
Saturday - Practice from 9am to 5pm. First round of qualifying at 5:30pm for all classes. First 3 out of the 6 classes will run 2nd round of qualifying following round one. The last 3 classes will run 2nd round Sunday morning.
Sunday - Practice from 8am to 9am. Second round of qualifying for the last 3 classes starts at 9:30am followed by round 3 for all classes. Mains immediately following the quals.
Race format - 3 quals, double A mains, single lower mains (double B main for mod buggy). Qualifying order will be based on (Qual. points best 2 out of 3.).

Rules for stock classes
17.5 motors. The D3.5 and related motors are allowed.
Speed control in "blinky" mode

Entry fee
$25 per class (includes Saturday practice from 9-5, 3 qualifying rounds, double AA mains with B main bump ups)

Probably 2 miles from the track, right next to Hooters, it was recommended for the Gold Cup race I think.

I wanted to let everyone know that the track will have it's normal hours this Friday with club racing starting at 7pm. On Saturday the 11th the track will open at 9 AM. See you all at the track.

Should be a great weekend of racing, the track is looking good and the layout should make for some awesome racing! Here is some video from the new track.

I thought the weekend went perfectly. Dalton was great on the mic and the loop problems were solved as quickly as could be hoped. Great battles in every class.
Here are the final standings for Mod buggy double B mains. Tiebreaker is better finish in B2 main.
