Hello Pacific Northwest USA. This announcement comes from just north of the border in Victoria BC. The IROCC R/C club is pleased to announce its annual carpet trophy race, co-hosted with the NRC club from Nanaimo BC. This year the race is Round #5 of the Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series (WCICS). We had a great time hosting this event last year and managed a record 230 entries. We are on track for another great event this year:

Travel from the USA
The track location is very close to the Victoria airport (YYJ), the BC Ferry terminal (Swartz Bay), and the WA Ferry terminal (Anacortes->SidneyBC). All of these options are less than five minutes from the track and hotel. IROCC is offering a free shuttle service for those that are flying or walking-on the ferries.
Food
There are many restaurants, fast-food options, and grocery stores within one/two blocks of the track.

Hey all,
I just did some checking, and the Anacortez-Sidney ferry is a viable option for those travelling up from Washington State.

There is only one sailing and it leaves Anacortes WA at 8:30AM on the Friday. It gets in to Sidney BC at 11:10AM. This gets you to the track way too early, but it will save you a longer drive, and a longer border wait.
If you'd rather stick with the BC Ferries, they run on every "odd" hour all day. Here is the schedule:

I am very much looking forward to this race !!!!! Last year I finally got to attend and even though I caught a horrible cold and was sick as a dog the entire time.... I loved every minute of it ! Have passport, willing to travel !

Thanks for the info! Things are going great, finally found my speed again. I made it into the A-Main in Vic last weekend. Lots of fast people were away though, but hey I'll take it
