yea;
i was looking forward to running at least four of the races, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore. no one seems to care about it like you said. i don't want to be told what tires to buy ahead of time, and then have to buy something totally different at the track. that's bs i'm done with it.
I suspect the reason for problems on the release of Northwest Championship Tour points is largely because of a certain minimum amount of information that is required from the event organizer for the tabulation of overall Northwest Championship Tour (NWCT) points.
Firstly, each entrant that achieves top qualifier status is awarded 1 NWCT point for being top qualifier in their class. The event organizers must expeditiously provide this critical information to the NWCT points calculator.
Secondly, it is important that each event organizer provide the NWCT points calculator the finishing order of all main events. This is because of two important factors. First, the number of entries that completes one full lap in each main event is critical to the points calculations. NWCT points rules specify that at least seven entries must complete one full lap in their main event to qualify as a valid scoring class for NWCT points. And in addition, the DNS finishers must be identified as if they had bumped-up from the previous main event.
Again it is critical, that each entry will only receive NWCT points based upon completing at least one full lap in their main event. If an entry completed at least one main event lap(s) in a lower main event, but then DNS-ed after bumping-up, then they shall receive the lower main event points. These entries that bump-up from a lower main events must be identified on the scores provided to the NWCT points calculator.
Most importantly I am sure, all NWCT participants are extremely grateful to the diligence of all the Event Organizers to the support of the Tour. Yet some entries are equally interested in the accuracy of all overall series points.
Do you guys really think that just because we live in or close to Spokane that we know what the points are for the Tour? Like they sit around the hobby store talking about everyones points?
I remember last year certainly wasnt the speediest as far as points update on the Northwest Champs site as well.
