This is awesome news. Me and the girls had fun last year and plan on running the series again. I would PM Mr. Shook about this question but I figured someone else would like to know the answer to this question too. If this is a Series, why are there throw out races? Shouldn't it be get points by showing up and race and no points for not attending and who ever has the most driver points by the end of the Challange wins? That's how all race series (real car racing series of course) are ran. Just wondering not complaining.

Lem,

Glad you and the girls are going to be racing with us again!

Good question. I chose to put in a throw-out race because I think that it may help turnout and give a greater number of people a chance to race for the championship. Peoples' summers are busy and everyone may not be able to make every single race, and with a throw-out the racers who have to miss a race because of family etc. may have more motivation to finish out the series if they know they are still in the chase for the championship. Also, if you have a particularly bad finish for one race, you can still be in the hunt. It seems to be a tradition in RC to have throw-outs and I want to continue the tradition. There is of course a distinct advantage to racing every round because you will automatically have one more point than someone who misses one round, and you have an extra chance for a high finish. There are arguments for having no throw-outs as well, but I've seen throw-outs work best.

Default Timezone Raceway added to the schedule

Timezone Raceway on June 29th

I am pleased to announce that Timezone Raceway in Battle Ground, WA will be hosting a race of the Northwest Asphalt Challenge. Timezone is a European style track with a real grass infield and dimensions large enough for 1/5 scale racing. It will be a great addition to the series.

Because of the enormous size of the track, gas sedan and modified sedan will run the full track, and the other classes will run a shorter version of the track. (It could take a Scale Spec car two-three weeks to get down the back straight).

A 17.5 sedan makes pretty short order of it..... I'm assuming no 17.5 D3.5s?
