Top Gear Hobbies Spring Shootout - May 11th & 12th 2013!
The Top Gear Hobbies Spring Shootout will be held May 11th & 12th. This two day event will consist of 3 qualifiers on Saturday and 1 qualifier followed by Triple A-Main Events on Sunday. The rocket round format will be used to decide the overall qualifying order for each class which will take each drivers single fastest run out of the 4. The top 8 drivers in each class will go straight into the A-Mains, followed by 2 car lower main bump ups making a full 10 car field.
Race Entry will be $20.00 per class.
Schedule:
Thursday, May 9th - Open Practice 10:00am - 6:00pm / Club Racing starts at 7:00pm
Friday, May 10th - Open Practice 10:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday, May 11th - 3 Rounds of Qualifying & 4 Rounds of Invitational Starting at 10:00am (building opens at 8:00am)
Sunday, May 12th - 1 Round of Qualifying & AAA-Main Events / 4 Rounds of Invitational Starting at 10:00am (building opens at 8:00am)

1. Novice
2. Stock Buggy (17.5 motor/no timing & no boost)
3. Stock Truck (17.5 motor/no timing & no boost)
4. Stock Short Course (17.5 motor/no timing & no boost)
5. 2wd Modified Buggy (all 2wd Modified Buggies will run the Invitational format)
6. Modified Truck
7. Modified 4wd Buggy
8. 2wd Modified Short Course
9. 4x4 Modified Short Course
*Awards will be given out to the Top 5 in each class!
2wd Modified Buggy
The 2wd Modified Buggy is open for any driver to enter. Drivers in this class will compete in the Invitational style format. 4 rounds of heads up racing will be ran on Saturday and 4 rounds on Sunday. Each driver will be allowed 2 drops, so 6 will count. Tie Breakers will be determined by the number of 1st place finishes, 2nd place finishes, and so on with the 6 counted points. If still a tie, the drivers 2 fastest used times will be added together. Throw outs are just that, thrown out and wont be used. This is the same as the Reedy Race. All heats for every round will be completely random and 6-8 drivers will be in each heat. 2wd Modified Buggies will be ran both days. Invitational Class Drivers will receive awards for top 5.
The drivers shown below are listed where they finished last year at the Invitational and will run that car number. The additional drivers that arent on the list below will receive their car number on Saturday morning the day of the event.
