Default covered gas/elec onroad for winter months

what with all the onroad people in this hobby, howabout everybody keeping an eye out for a place to run a winter program of gas/elec asphalt racing under cover, there must be a place around to look into, just an idea, offroad is fun but i'm sure not all want to put up their cars for 4-5 monthes waiting for the sun to come out, I JUST WANT TO SEE THE SKY BEFORE THE SUN GOES DOWN............

Mr. Cherry,

You missed a important point to the previous point.

"what with all the (onroad) people in this hobby"

REVO's while very good for offroad. Do not make fast onroad racers.

There are public elementary schools in the Kent area that have covered bascket ball courts.

On rainy days some of them are some dry enough to play basketball on.

my .02 for what it is worth

Your right on the covered basketball courts. The schools are not to thrilled about it especially if you want to run gas powered cars on their court. They have liability issues and most school districts require a 1-2 million dollar insurance umbrella for you to be there. That type of insurance, even with the best safety appliances around the track, cost a fortune for a club. I have looked into it at a few different schools and districts.......not worth it. If I set up at a school like that, I would be looking at needing to bring in just over $200.00 per race just to break even on it and everyone might as well go to a shop with an indoor track. It's a bummer but that is the way I have seen it through my investigation on the covered b-ball courts.
