Default 2011 Skagit River Raceway summer offroad series

Its that time of the year again. time for the 2011 SRR summer offroad series. this is one of the most successful summer series on the westside of the mountains. last year we averaged between 70-80 entries per race. This years series is spread out around all the other big races in the northwest this summer and except for the NCT date we are in no conflict with Area 52 so lets get these 2 tracks really rolling this summer.

heres the dates......

May 14
June 4
June 18
July 8-10 NCT #3 Westside Challenge III
July 16
Aug 6
Aug 20
Sept 3
Sept 17
Oct 1 Season championships double points

series will be best 7 of 9 with awards to top 5 in each class at the end of the year if you did at least 7 races.

classes will include....

Novice (17.5, 27t, or rtr kit motor)
Stock Truck(17.5, 27t)
Stock SC(17.5, 27t)
Mod Buggy
Mod 4wd Buggy
Mod Truck
Mod SC
4wd SC
Electric 1/8 buggy
Gas 1/8 buggy
Gas 1/8 truggy

Electric truggy's will run with gas truggy's unless we get at least 4 of them. if it looks like e truggy will take off they will have thier own class.........

5 min quals for all classes, 7 min mains for 1/10th scale, 15 minute gas mains 10 minute E 1/8 main. 2 quals and 1 main.

stay tune for work party updates.....

cannot wait!! i'll actually have a job this racing season!!

quick question, would 3s be ok to run in a 4wd sct? im looking to get a losi ten scte and geared down, it just makes more sense considering the weight of these trucks rather than strain a 2s battery for extra amps.

Is the track open for practice or is it just a race day only track?

The track is open, the oval and drivers stand are fenced in and locked except for regular race days.

okay boys and girls, 1 month away from the opener. here is what the idea is for the start of the season. this week the weather is suppose to be decent. i am going to get there in the next day or 2 if it stays dry and do some spraying and give it a good look over. as of right now i am hoping not to have to a complete rebuild. i know we usually start the season with a fresh layout, but i only have 3 races scheduled before the NCT race and we really cant afford 2 full blown rebuilds 3 races apart. So if i can just do a little face lift to start the season it will be the best.

If it stays nice, i may want to get on it this coming weekend, but i have a birthday party saturday and sunday is easter, so i will know later this week. If anyone has a Quad that can pull a drag let me know, i would like to drag the whole thing to smooth it out and fill the holes, i have a plan to move some pipes and change the layout without changing any of the jumps. and we will need some manual labor to reshape and clean up the jumps.

I know everyone would like a new layout to start the season, but i would like to save resorces and equipment for the big rebuild the end of June.

i will keep everyone informed as the week goes on, but if not this weekend, then the last available weekend for a work party will be the first weekend of May......
