I've been watching this thread, and it's enticing me to pinch some pennies to save up for one of these GT's. It would be awsome to have an on-road car I could run up and down the street without fearing a rock in the spur gear.
What do you guys think about the OFNA tires? I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to buy an OFNA or pick up someone's used off-road set up and buy a body and tires. Buying a used setup might turn out to be viable if people end up ditching the OFNA tires for something else in the end.

Ofna GTP-2e "Preliminary Asessment"
Brian,
Since I'm now in the process of getting "Aquainted" with this car, I'd have to say that the Ofna Kit Tires are OK, (Not konwing what the other options perform like). This opinion is based on running the car up and down my local Street. I'm trying to get an idea of overall "Grip vs gear ratio vs runtime vs ESC/Motor temps, within reason, running the Car "Hard", to best replicate "Race Conditions".
If the PF8 GT body and Kit included Tires were viewed as "Throw-Ins", and or subtracted from the price of the Kit overall, I'd still have to say the entire value of what Ofna gives you is hard to overlook. I considered getting a conversion Kit as I've had 2 Ofna Nitro Buggies sitting idle for years, but "Hey", once you add Tires and Body, the cost is the same only now, you have a complete "New Car"! And in my case, I have 2 Buggies for Spare parts!
