Thumbs up E-1/8th Scale Onroad in all it's Forms is "On the Rise"!

Actually Mark, I'd be in favor of doing both, however, "Rome wasn't Burned in a Day"! We are aware of the "Less expensive" options offered by Motonica for example, and as the E-1/8th scene continues to Explode and the prices continue to become more reasonable, I'm sure more Racers will "be Seduced" by the ever expandging choices we all hope to see!.........@ a Track near you!..........Real Soon!...........

BTW, I was very impressed by the "TZ E-Mugen Test Mule" you guys were Wheel'n @ the TZGP last summer after Nitro "Noise Curfew" was implemented!

Have you considered going with the Nitro 1/8th GT cars, they have some kind national spec class now, and the cars are inexpensive. you can find some pics @ bruckner's site. As far as I know both kyosho and ofna make cars for the class.

I'm not sure on the cost of the electric stuff your looking at but good 1/8 bl motors, speedos, & batts canbe expensive compared to nitro.

Just an FYI, the ofna gt cars are based off 10+ year old buggy chassis. The only differences being the shock towers, shocks and tires.

I'd opt for a modern 8th scale to tune for onroad any day.

In fact, get a truggy chassis, use buggy suspension, and you've got a 1/7 scale onroad car with proper width/wheelbase ratios. The current 1/8 gt cars are too wide for their wheel base and the wheels are too big.

Too bad it's tough to find a body to fit one!

Yes Mark, (now "Addressing Mark's Evil Twin Brother", also named Mark! ), I have a MBX w/GTP conversion,911 Turbo body, & leftover HPI Savage 25 power that I would Love to Race, that is, if a Class for it could be "Manufactured". So, thats a total of 3 options, 2 of which I now Own.

That's kind of the amusing thing about them, they are practically free to build and they are gonna rotate well because of the short wheel base.

I'd be shocked if anyone talking about these are thinking of taking them at all seriously.. This is the kind of car you don't care if the nose of the car is pointing into the apex during a race.

If I wanted a fully legit race car I'd ask Mark Day what's up and have him set me straight. While a full fledged race car would be super....dude....Its $180.

So heres the bill so far.

Chassis, wheels, tires, body, 189.00

two 4s lipos 109.00

Mamba Monster combo 232.00

Servo, already had it,
but had it for sale at 60 60.00

thats 590.00

my xray 2011 chassis cost me 499.00 with nothing extra.

and had Speedpassion had a 1/8 system in stock you can knock $100 off of that. will it work, will it be fast, will it be fun. don't know. but lynns looked pretty damn fun for what little it ran, and I was willing to make the investment to get a couple of cars out to see if we can drum up some interest. from here we may move onto the nitro version, or even the TZ F1's. but you gotta start somewhere. And for now its just all about the bashing, we don't have a full time track up in these parts so this may be our outlet between race days, at least I hope so.

get you one, and come come get some....
