Taper pins have very small lugs so probably something else..

If the dirt is local im gussing something like a bowtie or holeshot or subculture will work

Hopefully I will be able to go tomorrow and give a more informative opinion

Just got done talking to Joe at RC Hobbies in Covington. Here is what I learned about the track:

The location is at Weber's nursery just off of Wax Rd. Enter through second gate and go to the back.

Weber's Nursery
17006 Southeast Wax Road
Covington, WA 98042-9122
Phone: (253) 631-1048

Hours are Sat and Sun 12-7

Well groomed and maintained

All basic track ammenities (driver stand, pits, power, air compressor...)

No timing system yet but there will be if enough people start coming out to the track.

Tires are rumored to be Panther step pins or Pro Line Calibers or equivalent.

The poles seem to be a non issue and have been outfitted with foam padding to reduce breakage.

Track is now open on wednesdays for practice and only $5!

Would like to emphasize that they will install a timing system if there's enough support. So if you live in the area, get down there and check it out. I understand the owner is very friendly.

Last time I was there everybody was running HB Megagrids or Panthers. They also have a big pile of rocks to crawl on too.

Just wanted to bump this subject.. I am moving to Maple Valley in a couple of weeks and was curious how this track was doing. I haven't been on a track since 1983 and that was Hobby Hut in Renton (some of you should remember that one). I am dying to get out on a track but don't want to be a spode in the way of some of you racing regulars until I can remember WTF I am doing. Once I remember what I would doing, would be nice to hit some of the other tracks when the wife and kids will let me LOL.

Thanks!
