Want to get this out on the Calendar......

Timezone 500 Oval at TZII we will get the rest of the rules and structure out but the basic are as follows

WGT: 10.5, 1S Lipo, Open Speedo, 930 grams, standard pan car non oval specific chassis, ROAR WGT Bodies. No quick change batteries.

Mod Open: Open motor, 2S lipo/6 cell, Open Speedo, xxx grams, open oval type chassis, Open Bodies. Quick change batteries OK.

Format: Maximum (12) teams per class, made up of a minimum of (4) drivers each team. (2) rounds of rocket round 5 min qualifiers to set the grid for the main. Each class will run a (500) lap main event, where there will be mandatory drivers change at each pit stop.

More details to come as we figure everything out. the Oval at TZ is insane

indoor carpet road course all winter,Premier facility/people.
for this race they just set up an oval.

The "500" stands for shots taken before the mains that night....

Is there a class for 2wd late model transmission or wing less sprints. You know real oval cars?

We would intertain an additional sprint car class if we saw the intertest.

Mr. D the quick change batteries are the custom made systems that some of the oval guys had at the snowbirds where they had levers that would release the battery out the bottom of the chassi. and hard connectors wired in ie; "quick change"

Hi everyone,

My wife and I run Dave's RC Tracks. We have a dirt oval and run winged sprint car Saturday nites thru the summer. We are interested in this race and want more info. I will bring this up with our club members. We will be needing a oval fix my then.

Thanks,
Dave

Thought I would bump this thread up. Still wondering about some sprint car heats.
