Post Xtreme R/C Club of Walla Walla

We have an outdoor Off Road and Dirt Oval track located in Fort Walla Walla Park. It's about an hour drive from the Tri-Cities.

The oval is 350 FT and the off road, measured on centerline is about 900 FT. In a five minute race you'll get about 6 to 7 laps, it's HUGE.

The track has been there since 1985, but we just completly redid it this year. Went in with a tractor, leveled it out, laid down new 4" pipe, and started building jumps. In the past there has been alot of grass in the infield, now it's all lanes.

We use an AMB RC transponder system, have power at the pit tables, and killer lighting for the track. The drivers stand could be a little taller though, but you can still see everything.

The track is good ol fasioned DIRT Sorry clay guys . I've been running the same set of tires on my buggy for three years, your foam will break down before you wear out a set of tires.

We race every Friday night, alternating between oval and off road. There are two sunday day races in july, oval and off road combined.

We are working on geting a website, I'll post someting when It's up.

Would love to see some out of town guys show up.

How many people do you get at a Friday or Sunday Club race (not oval) I'm curious because I would like to come a race sometime soon.

Thanks,

Ryan,

Our next race is an oval, this Friday. I'll be in the Tri-Cities in th e morning to practice all day, then come home to defend my points lead in gas truck and go back to the Tri Cities in the morning to run the Columbia cup.

Our next off road is next Friday (I'll attach a copy of our schedule).

If your bringing your 1/8 scale, bring lots of people with you. We used to have about 5 fast guys, but they all moved away or quit to go do someting else. A few of us still have them but don't realy run em.

Most of the same guys made up our gas truck class too, so it aint doing so hot either. If someone is showing up to a normal club race, we always have a monster truck, stock buggy, mod 4wd, and novice class. We have about 7 gas trucks show up for oval races, but none of them want to run the off road (there kind of a different bunch).

If you guys are ever coming down let me know so I can unlock the gates for ya. We are in the same park as the BMX track and a walking/bike path goes right between us and the airplane club. If we leave the gates open the track gets DESTROYED by bikes.

Thanks,

Eric Magill
Vice President
Xtreme R/C Club of Walla Wallla

P.S. I had to take the logo off the top of the schedule, file size was to big to attach.

Post Hey Corey

Its about 1 hour drive from the Tri Cities.

Gas trucks, we run the same tires and bodies as off road, .12 of .15 engines, ( so the RTR guys can play too). I run my off road set up and it works good on the oval. As long as you have good high speed steering, tune your engine for wide open runnin and your set.

In the electics we run 19 turn, buggys or trucks.

Monster Trucks....just about anything. I'm not much of an oval monster truck guy, but some people like to run em on the oval.

let me know if you need directions to the track

Eric
