Default X12 13.5 opinions

Gonna be buying a new 13.5 Sunday and was wondering how they compare to other 13.5's. I have only ever used novak ss13.5's and a trinity pulse. They both have been fine but if I am buying something new might as well have the best right? BTW I use a Sphere esc. Just looking for something with a little more power without having to buy a new speedo. + I need a new motor for the truck anyway.

Ah come on George...You know 10.5 is not allowed in stock. If there was ever enough for mod truck that is what I would run, but stuck in stock...

Thanks for the vast amount of useful info....Maybe you and some of your fast lunch table buddies will bring a truck to the track, then yes...I wouldn't even need a 13.5.

1) i think hes asking about the X12
2) you can't run a 10.5 in stock... either in a normal TRCR club race, or super stock at ECT.

Yeah, next year will probably be 13.5 for SS. Talking to Brian a couple of weeks ago it sounded like I was in the minority on keeping 10.5 for SS but we will see. The reason I like it is because a 10.5 is fast enough to where not having a fancy speedo doesn't hurt you as much clearing jumps or down the straight.

X12 motors tend to run a little hotter than some motors but it should be plenty fast.

My 8.5 X12 comes in at 120 degrees, most I have seen in 2w mod is Chris X12 9.5 @ 131 degree..

Brian allready said that SS except 4 wheel is going to be 13.5, 4 wheel will remain 10.5.
My 7.5 X12 is great in both 4wheel and short bus 4 wheel. but you will need to service the bearings often, they tend to seize when dried out.

The one day I ran my x-12 10.5 in my SC10 it was coming off at 180

Scott said it was ok

Didn't quite give me the OK to bring it back if she smoked, since I bought it there , but said it was fine and they do run hot...

Hopefully she is ok for the B44...
