I've tested a majority of the motors out there when helping in the development of the ORCA ESC line, but I have to say the x12 was not my favorite. I love the modified motors, but the spec motors have a very narrow range in which they work (in comparison to others). They have a lot of timing built in from the factory, so even when using the -10 insert, it still has roughly 20ish degrees of timing. With that said, it makes gearing this motor picky.

Whenever I thought I had everything dialed in for awesome power, I felt fade towards the end of the run when it reached the 180ish deg mark. In order to get rid of the fade, I tried different combinations of timing and gearing. The only setup I was able to come up with wasn't up to par in comparison to other motors I've run, but it didn't fade nearly as much as before.

Granted, this is in on road. I've never tried it in off road

You started in on the personal attacks on me long before that.
You can throw a weak punch but can't take being stood up to.
