Default Any F1 fans who want to go to Belgium GP for $2,495?

Blatant solicitation from one racing fan to another.

The catch is you need to take overseas delivery of a 2005 Volvo S60R or V70R to qualify.

Dean Forbes of Seattle Volvo here. We just got word from Volvo that the first 15 customers nationwide who buy an R and take delivery in Europe are offered a $12,000 F1 Belgium Grand Prix package for two people this August for the discounted price of $2,495. It's a screaming deal that I would go myself and take Sam but I don't qualify because I am a Volvo employee.

You could import the car and turn around and sell it for a profit without having to title it here. That means no taxes are paid. The overseas price is already well below US invoice.

Call or e-mail me for details.

Dean,

I am in no way able to purchase anything like that at this time, but just for the fun of it, what is the purchase price for those cars in Europe? It would be a fun package though.

The European base price for the 2005 S60R is expected to be $35,300 (versus $37,250 here for the 2004 model). Options are the same price you'd pay here. The $685 destination fee is waived and return freight is free. Overall, you'll save $3,000 or so on the car by taking overseas delivery.

The cool thing about the F1 package is it's business class airfare and five-star hotels.
