Default New to area (Oly Pen)... point me to a track?

Hey all.. im new to WA state and recently got the itch to get back into onroad touring car racing. Is there any racing going on anywhere out here on the peninsula? Somewhere around Bremmerton maybe? I know there is something in Tocoma, but its just a tad too far to drive every week.

Thanks, and hopefully there is something around!

The closest to you would be the EGTC(ESLROC) series that is starting up soon in the Everett area I believe...Check out their thread here on the northwest forums.

I live by Bremerton and if you want to race some world class drivers tacoma area is the place. We are working on geting a lap counter set up and runing some on road at Silverdale Mall by Hobby town USA. some weekends. It will be a first for the area so no for shure yet.

Yeah... I saw the racing happening in Tocoma.. but its a 1.5 hour drive for me. Silverdale is more like it. So is there any information out there about this? If there is goign to be some TC racing around there, I am in.

Im going to get in touch with the Hobby Town people in Silverdale today hopefully, and get some information. I would be more than happy to donate some of my time to help get that off the ground.

You would THINK that with the total population of Poulsbo, Silverdale, and Bremeteron, that there could be enough of a turnout every week to warrent a dedicated track in the area... no?

I was just there on friday and the guy working there said that the owner doesn't want to pony up the funds to do the on-road track @ the silverdale mall. Still check and see but that's what was told to me on friday. Other than that, you will have to either catch the ferry or take it to the bridge for some on-road.
