Just to be clear, I wasn't saying the race was sold out.....as far as I know, you can't even enter yet. However, that doesn't stop people from booking rooms. After seeing what happened at snowbirds, I can see why people would start booking rooms now.....worst comes to worst, we will have our team trailer ready by then, so we can just bring it down.

I just called myself and finally got through.....

They are 100% booked, in fact the guy told me they were overbooked already(a common thing hotels do to prevent having empty rooms).

Gotta like that, booked up 5 months in advance.....

So while we still may be able to race, we will be staying at another hotel.

Well fortunately this race is near the airport, we should be able to find something reasonable nearby.

Can't wait for this race! Look forward to seeing everyone, especially some of my old racin buddies from the great northwest.

There are a very large number of hotels within a few miles of the track, PDA is just down the road from the track so finding a place to stay and a car to rent should be no problem for the out of towners. there are also a large number of places to get a bite to eat in the area along with a number of adult hangs outs for those that wish to relax after a long day of racing.

Default Hotel/Race are Not Full

Just to clear this up...

The race entry form was just ROAR appoved and will be out in
.DOC and .PDF format very soon. Check www.rc-cars.com for it and more info.

The hotel is not full. We did fill our Monday and Tuesday blocks but, we have requested more. There should be no problem getting rooms! Keep trying.

The Holiday Inn is a big place and has lots of rooms. We'll do all we can to make sure everyone that wants a room gets one.

Thanks,

Well, I guess I was lied too....I called and told them I was with the race and they said the rooms were all booked.....I then called back a couple hours later and didn't mention the race and got the same answer......would be nice if the racers could get a straight answer. I don't see how to "keep trying", if they tell us its sold out, its kinda hard to book a room.....
