$45 for the old 03 TRF kit it was worth it for parts. I bought 2 to use the goodies on the 2 $55 Wild Willys I bought for my girls.

TRF Wild Willys. haha

I remember when having a Wild Willy 2 kit was cool. (Yes, it's still in the paint shop waiting for the electronics, lights, decals, etc. to be installed. ) Part of me wishes I'd gotten in on the TRF deal. Of course I've got enough stuff to field a Tarmac Rally car (or two) for a good while anyway. Bearings, shocks, and diffs alone would have been worth the money, though.

Dan... I've got a couple "Wild Wheely" bodies kicking around (new, un-cut/painted) at my parents' house... They're yours if you want them for the girls' Jeeps! (Maybe I could talk you into slapping some quick/basic paint on a TC or F201 body?) I need to figure out the Burien schedule and get back up there with something... GT3 would be the easiest on parts.

Anyhow, enough rambling from me.

franko, not only were they selling the old 03 trf kits, they must have sold hundreds of them, i saw 5 cases goes first thing sat morning in about 3 minutes, everyone was yelling to get the guys attention, they made several trips back to the warehouse for PALLETS of them. i think there was a two car limit, but i know i saw people getting back in line several times. they also had the tb01 evo for 100.00 i had a 03trf kit in hand but put it back, i was afraid of running out of money and not having enough for parts and tires. I forgot to go back sunday afternoon and get one. they also had the 04r for 125.00 and the 414 for 225.00 i think

Wow, sounds like tamiya has some good deals. I plan to go next year, I'm already planning on what stuff I'll need to go. Gt-1 all the way!

to correct peter - GT2 not GT3, i had no luck in the quals so i got stuck in the d main, 2nd lap reck (~6 cars) arvin and someone else ran away, i caught back up and passed both - then when i thought i had it i get tangled with a lap car putting me down to third

both my dad and i had bad luck in the quals, my times in the main were comparable with the low A/high B main lap times, my dads were comparable to B main

troy finished 3 in mini sports A main

I heard that the tamiya race was not cheap, spending money on tire and motor just to stay in the top ten..well I don't know about that,to me I'll rather be in f1 class ,cause it is alot cheaper than GT1 and GT2

Backwards Franko if you wanted to be in the front all the classes were spending money. Ask Ritchie how many tires he bought. I know the RR motors were used in GT1 and F1 and to keep them in front it was a set of brushes per run.

GT1 -scuffs were better than first runs B's so really you only needed 3 sets of tires. In all I used 6 sets of tires from Wednesday when we got there
