Hope your new track does well, so hang in there.

From owning and operating a track 4 years now, and still here planning for next season, my experience tells me quite a lot of guys and gals come out to our track to just play / practice, racers and prospective racers alike, and they pay 10.00 to run on the track all day. Alot of guys dont have transponders and they just want to have fun running on a real track and are not into timed racing yet.

So you should try to find a balance of a racing program and open track practice days in your schedule. You'll want a timing system but make sure you have practice / bash days for prospective racers to run the track and get hooked.

I've got a timing system I could bring down next spring and run a couple races for you until you get a system, if you have power.

Best of luck

Tracy

got a chance to stop by check the track out and meet with reed and couple others, double E was almost ready to leave when i got there but stayed and ran a pack for me so i could see how the track was, E was getting around pretty good, couple of spots weren't buggy friendy but nothing taking a different line didn't solve. right now the track is a fair size, more 1/10 then 1/8 but doable for both, they have plans to expand later if interest holds. looking forward to getting a few buds together and having a blast.

whos got a couple of hours on saturday to kill?

Nice track. Had alot of fun running all my stuff on it today. Ran the buggy, truck, and slash. Ran all types of motors on the track as well. Mod truck (8.5bl), Stock buggy (13.5BL) and stock slash motor. I had more fun running the buggy then the truck. The big jump took some line work and throttling but figured it out.

Like Ritchie said, they want to expand the track but only if interest catches hold. I for one will be there as much as possible seeing how it only takes 20 minutes from my house to get there. Run some packs and while they are charging i go and watch some dirt bikers mud it out. I talked them into getting more dirt out on the track, so lets get our butts out there and support these guys.

Reed it was nice to meet and talk with you today.

Ritchie, I will let you know on friday if i can make it saturday, right now it's a yes, but have to check with the wifey first!

oh yeah, took lots of pics and video. but still trying to get them off the camera.

E was charging his batteries inside a shack at the M/C track, I'm bringing a extra car battery to charge off of, and a very long extention cord. not sure on the circuit or breaker size, so i'm not sure how many can charge at once.
