2008 Summer Sizzler
#2
Its going to be another great Sizzler this year!
especially if Jacko is there!
Confirmed world class drivers: AE's Keven Hebert and I just talked to the great Micro Peeler aka Travis Schreven and he will be running the modified class as well...
The fresh FW surface is providing great grip...
We are planning on going to Hooters on Saturday night also

2008 Summer Sizzler
The 2008 Summer Sizzler will be held on August 8-10 at Fantasy World Racing in Tacoma WA. Entry Fee is $30 for the first class and $30 for each additional class if your entry fee is received by August 1. After that it will be $45 for the first class and $30 for each additional. This year we will be having Factory Drivers and National Champions attending the Sizzler.
The classes offered to date are:
- Open Modified
- 1/12 Pan Car (13.5 BL motor)
- 13.5 Brushless Sedan
- Trans Am
- Gas Sedan
Any additional classes require a minimum of 5 committed drivers. Committed means that we have received 5 paid entry fees for that class.
Friday, August 8 - Track setup at 12 noon and practice until midnight
Saturday, August 9 - Morning practice, 11:00 drivers meeting, Concours judging, and 3 rounds of qualifying
Sunday, August 10 - Morning practice, final qualifying round, and triple A-mains for electric, 25 minute Gas A-main, and 10 minute Gas B-main. No bump-ups.
All motors and batteries must be ROAR approved. The only motor exception will be for anyone choosing to run a Silver Can motor in Trans Am.
A down-loadable entry form will follow within the next few days as will the Fantasy World Rules for Trans Am.
The track surface has been recently sealed and the grip is awesome. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Additional questions, please post.

Jacko, the consensus so far is 13.5 for 12th scale. It's real easy on batteries so we all don't need to spend anything if you don't want to for 'em. Any final decisions should come from the FW staff, but I am getting the impression that they are allowing the 12th guys to regulate themselves. The 2 twelves that ran yesterday looked fantastic so be ready to have some fun. I still can not believe how much better the sealer job did for that race track. I plan on having my 6-7 month old bat's dug out of cellar for this one!

Here is the 2008 Summer Sizzler entry form.
Sounds like 13.5 is the motor for 1/12th scale.
I know the club racing for Trans Am has the motor still open but for a trophy race, we need to have one motor to limit the potential of 'cheating' comments.
Most people are running 13.5. I even switched from 27T to 13.5.
I am suggesting that we have the Trans Am class set at 13.5 with an FDR of 6.2. Any comments?
With that, it is time for the silver can drivers to start up a Small Block Trans Am write in campaign.
