red clay, red tapers, clay switches, evil twins, holeshots etc. The Clay is going to get mixed in with the dirt already at the Hank, as well as the dirt from the outdoor track at NW as well (I think) which was bowties, crime fighters and holeshots occasionally... No way of really telling howe the track is going to end up until it is finished. Lots of digging, and rototilling going to be going on (if Lake Hank dries up soon...) this weekend

I've never been to this race track, so it's difficult to gauge exactly what tires will work the best. However, if this video is any indication (http://pineforestmedia.com/videos/2007Hank240.wmv), I'm guessing Bowties or Crimes? The track appears to be a bit loose and rutty, although I suppose it'll be different if new dirt is used.

Either way, it'll be an awesome event for sure Can't wait.

Last year a lot of people ran holeshots or bowties.

the dirt that is currently on the Hank Perry track is a holeshot/bowtie dirt. some ran Crimes for longevity, but most ran holeshots.

I never ran on the old NW outdoor track, but most say it was a Bowtie dirt.

so mix em together and who knows...as soon as we test it out, we will let you all know!!

The old NW dirt was a tire eater. We ran knuckles and such just so they would last. bowties and holeshots were dialed but lasted about 10 min. Keep saving your pennies you will need some tires.

So I suppose they ran the track dry all weekend? Quick tire wear could be counter balanced with some water on the track surface every so often between heats.

Yeah when we ran it wet it wasnt as bad but it still ate tires. I doubt they will water much. The hank doesnt do much maintinance it stays together pretty good.

It seems to me that the last time I read and pointed something out, a few people got upset and overly defensive.

So I figured I'd ask, hoping to maybe get a reasonable answer from one of the track reps. Guess that was wanting a bit much...
