Don't get the wrong idea about the size of the track. It is about 10% larger in area than the track at R/C Plus and they run mod sedan there.

I thought it was kind of small for the 1/10 only because I have been running my Recoils for the last 2 weeks. Then yesterday I took my TC4 out and ran it and the track seemed small. I guess I just need to get used to the size difference between the 1/10 and 1/14 sedans.

All of the indoor tracks seem small until you get in the heat of battle. It takes a really good driver to wheel modified, that's why stock and 19t are so popular. It's also why some of us went back to 12th scale. In the future I think the track owners need to take a look at whether foam tires on carpet has helped or hurt turn out for stock. In my opinion only 19t or mod should be the only classes on foam. Rubber tire seemed to keep a more even playing field in stock. It takes a lot better setup to run stock rubber that it does stock foam. JMO

There is plenty of room out there for 10th Scale 19t/Mod, I ran a few packs with a Mod with no major issues, and found lots of areas to make a pass,

Stock foam is a great stepping stone to 19T foam. Stock rubber to 19T foam blows IMO. Stock foam is also great for really really learning how to drive smooth and clean. If anyone just says all you to is pull full throttle they are wrong. Just take a look at anthony, and tom, they are usually only a couple of tenths slower than 19T, and would have made the A main in almost every series race with their stock time!

But back to the point. It think it will be nice having another local track it should make for some more compitition!! The track looks nice cant wait till I get another sedan!

I agree. Small setup adjustments to cars with rubber tires usually makes a much more dramatic change in handling than on a cars with foam tires. This can be a valuable learning tool for new racers who have little or no experience with setting up a car.

Good post, Mike...as usual.

Stock foam is a hybrid bastard and dilutes a fundamental class. When you're done in stock, then you go to 19 t foam. I saw the whole stock class waste away at RC+ when foam was introduced.

Today I saw a T2 007 in the "Northwest For Sale" thread for $225. Why not trade in your truck!

We don't need so many stepping stones.

Darn, I missed a lot of posts and have not got my 12th scale ready to race yet. However, maybe I'll drop by to watch and check out the track. It looks awesome from the pictures.

AMB Personal transponder compatible?

Wednesdays may work for me if I can get out there in time. I'd rather have Thursdays, but beggers can't be choosers, lol.

Any forsight as to the 12th scale classes? I would love a spec-brushless class simply because I don't want to have to repurchase all the brushed support equipment. Besides, I like the lack of maintenace required on my other BL systems.

I won't be able to race tonight, but I will drop by to watch. I won't be hard to miss.

Any idea on tire compounds and traction additive prefered?
