The EPIC "XX" is also for the newbie in mind. No faster just no bushings.

Let George run his brushless and watch Sterling and myself kick his azz with a brushed motor

Sterling you up for that

My 19T reference was pertaining to on road not off road, I should've clarified that. Sorry. I just found out that the new brushless stock motor is now available in limited supply and should be readily available in 30-45 days.

Dave !!!

Please, I already think the 13.5 maybe should not be allowed for now in Ect ...
My using it ,could make racer`s that race stock not join the fun ...

Our rules do need to be updated , these new brushless motor`s will be in the hand of newbees & experience racer`s in the future....

When I get my Novak 13.5 ...
I only intend to see how it perform`s ...
Will only use on a Tuesday or Friday club race`s at TRCR for now....

Just thought it would be fun to be one of the first to race stock with a new design & all ...
R/c History !!!
sort of .....

Looking forward to Racing this serier`s , Mod Buggy is all good&nuff fer me ....

To be honest my only concern with allowing the brushless is the affect it will have on the small tuners in our area.

But I would say if the hobby shops list the 13.5 for 46.00 or less then what is the harm?

Those ROAR rules were written way before brushless technology became available to consumers.

Furthermore, the $46 dollar rule is now a joke and totally worthless. It was written to keep costs down. But guess what, the total costs of a lathe and all the other items needed to maintain a tuned stock motor is more than the cost of a brushless motor (which does not need all that other support equipment.)

True but they are still the rules that a brushed motor has to go by. Brushless motors currently have no rules. So therefor they shouldn't be able to be used head to head with motors that have restrictions. IMO

So its fair for someone running a Brushed motor to be governed by a complete set of rules? But the guy running brushless has no rules?

Its Brians Series so whatever he wants to do, but to make half the class run by a set of rules and the others dont need to seems pointless.

I would make it to where brushed go by ROAR rules with the exception that they can add Bearings and modify the brush hoods, but the arm must be from the origional can type it was intended for.

As of right now the ECT is only allowing Brushless in Modified. The complete rules will be out shortly.

Too Bad .....
I`m sure the rule for stock brushless will have to be change by next season .....

Guess the writing is on the wall , everyone can see it will happen...
