Default 4 stroke Revo prototype testers wanted

I didn't know where to put this, but I'm located in the Northwest, and I'm looking for Northwest racers, so here it is:

I'm getting close to having some prototype 4 stroke Revo conversion kits ready for testing. I'm having 6 sets of parts made, which means I'll have 5 for other people to test. I won't charge for the prototype parts, but the off the shelf items will need to be purchased by the tester. (Things like the engine, carb, fuel pump, etc..)

I'm hoping to have these prototypes ready in time for people to be able to run at the Dave Mapston race this fall (if they want to of course, it's pretty easy to put a 2 stroke back in if you want). I'm looking for 4 racers and 1 basher.

The goal is to see 4 - 5 of these racing on a track at the same time before the 2006 offroad season ends. LET THE THUMPER REVOLUTION BEGIN!!

PM or email me if you're interested. If you have questions, post them here.

Thanks,
Damon Palm

I'm getting lots of questions about total cost, so tonight I'll compile a list of part numbers and street prices which I'll post here.

Garrett-- Doesn't everyone wish they had a Revo?

I live in South Dakota and if the prototypes go right, please email me at [email protected] I would love to buy one (at your choice of price), but I am afraid I wont be able to test one do the distance between us. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I compiled a list of parts/numbers/street prices... Lots of internet mucking around finding some of these.
Forums don't deal well with tables, so I put it here:
3rd Party parts list

I know lots of these prices are most likely full-retail, but this at least gives you a better idea of what's involved.

I am interested for sure Damon. I will see if I can get the fundage together. DG
How often do you have to deal with motor rebuilds on the thumpers?

Maybe a piston ring and rod once a season... if you're really picky or practice alot. There's no taper since it's a ringed engine, so it really doesn't wear much. Also, I'll be installing teflon wristpin spacers on every engine so nobody should have problems with the "O.S. backplate grind" like the TM's are famous for.
They're really tough engines. I accidentally ran a qualifier with the air filter unhooked at the Hank. It sucked in a bunch of dust, but still has great compression and runs fine.
In general, I just check the valves every gallon or two (they usually don't need adjusted) and that's it.

Yeah that sounds cool and i wanna be part of the THUMPER REVOLUTION!! Since i can't seem to keep my 2-strokes running maybe i should give the thumper a try. As soon as i get the "$$" to run it i would love to try it.

KKH - AWESOME! Wow, this is more popular than I thought it would be, considering the pre-production aspect of it all.

I gotta unplug my internet so I can get some work done.

RCJunky - I'm really trying to find people in the Northwest who I normally see at races or around the Spokane, WA area. If something malfunctions, I want to be able to get my hands on it to fully understand exactly what happened. WI is a little too far away for that.

If all goes well, I hope to be able to sell kits around chrismas time.
