Hey guys, This is Randy your Region 11 director. I just had this great idea to start a thread for anything going on in the region from ROAR. Also if you have any questions. I'll be posting my rev-up reports and races coming up on here as well.
Great to see this thread,
Keep us posted on any Region 11 news and races.

not sure where cherry's rev up is. did you pay your dues???
the regionals in tri-cities i hoping will be the last weekend in march, but im not sure yet. i sent an email to darren to see what his thoughts are. i would like to have them then because the nats are at the begining of marh so that would give the guys a little break. im writing the new rev-up article today and will try and post it here as well.
Howdy race fans,
Well 2002 has come and gone, hope everyone had a great year and a fun time racing. 2003 should be just as exciting. I’m making a few changes as your director. First off, if you haven’t been to www.rctech.net , you should. They have a message board on there that has some great info. We have a Northwest Racers board on there and I have now started a Region 11 thread. I will post all up coming races and events on there. The main reason for this is because Rev-Up is a bi-monthly mag and if I don’t get the dates for races sometimes, they don’t get put in until its too late. As of this writing I have no dates for events this year. The first big race that I can tell you about is going to be the carpet regionals in Tri-Cities. Darren will be hosting this race. SARCAR and Rose City Scale Racers both have some big races coming up this year, so I will get those in as soon as I get them, and they will be posted on rctech.net. More things happening around the northwest, Debbie and Pat re-opened Rain City Raceway this past year. I’m glad to see them open back up. Also there is a new track opening in I believe Auburn. It’s supposed to be a big racing megaplex. A new indoor offroad track in Monroe opened up, and it’s a nice place to race your gas offroad cars and trucks. So it looks like the racing up here is really thriving. 2002 was my first year as your regional director, and I have had a lot of fun doing that, and I’ve learned so much that I think my brain is full! Hope you guys feel I’m doing a good job. If not I would like to hear about it, and I will post my email address at the end of my report. The Puyallup hobby expo will have been run by the time you’re reading this so we will get the results on that on the rc tech website. I’m sure I won something (jackass of the race award) but hey, its an award! I hope everyone has a safe and fun year, hope to see you all at the track!
"Offroad" Stock Nats are in Oregon in July. I should have a sign up form on my site www.axiommotors.com in a couple weeks I hope. It will be Handout Motors and tires - bring your own rims and foam.
What's ROAR doing to promote races or to help people in racing?
What does ROAR plan to do in the future to get back into the limelite?
Is ROAR in contact with television to get some races broadcast?
Just want to know what I can do to help get this sport/hobby some public support it needs to thrive.

Those are good questions Tim. With the new president Rick Wilson I'm hoping for more exposure from ROAR with him. I don't feel that Rex had the drive to take ROAR to the next level. I will however take your questions to Rick and will let you know what his plans are. Let's give the new guy a shot and see what happens. We are a strong region and any exposure from us would only boost our sport here.
