ECT Changes and sugestions for next year
What changes would you make to the series. What did you like this year and what changes would you make... ( besides the obvious get rid of me Johnny Boy ) LOL
Anyway here are the concerns that I see need to be addressed.
1- Mod turn outs. There is a proposal by Chris to bump up the Stock top 3 to modified.
2- Making it fun for everyone. I understand that need. I remember the transition periods. What can be done about that?
3- Schedules - A lot of the regulars were not at the the finaly and I am not sure why.
Is there anything else. I am not looking for just bashing so please keep it legit. State the problem and then a solution. Also any suggestions or additions would be greatly appreciated...

please make the points system a little less complicated,stock,guys have to step up to mod,i love that idea.

dont piss off tracks that are planning on running your series
a-main as a track for the series

points sytem will be noted. I am not so certain that not including qualifying is a bad way to go.
TQ = 1 Point
Entering race = 1 point ( must run main event to qualify )
100 points for a win... one point less for each position there after.
4 out of 6 series ( hopefully the return of A Main
I really think that it is the quality of the trophie and not the size. The goal was to never have just a bowling trophy :-)
All good suggestions... not sure I will be able to make the Twinkie go away.

I like the idea of A-main being included . Hi Brian. I can't speak for anyone but me, but one reason I didn't come was it was a 2-day event. That would mean minimal 2-night stay in a motel, and a very long weekend. I'm not crazy about that because I get up around 4:30 to go to work the following Monday and don't have Fridays off. Didn't need to be worn out for work Monday. I ran Masters, so you know I am as young as a lot of the racers, not chronically, at least. Also, after I heard it was mixed with another big event, I was very glad I didn't come. And I really don't mean to sound like sour grapes here - it just would be too much TIME standing around and money for me in one weekend, when I have so much else that needs to be done. I am a budget racer and couldn't reallly afford it all once you figure gas in also, along with the fees. Don't know if it is true or not, but had heard others wondering if the fees are higher for the last ECT with it being a 2-day event.
I think one other factor is that A-Main was being "constructed" and some of us racers are spending our Saturdays there. We are sorely needing a local indoor track, and the more time we can put in, the faster it will be up and running. Just my 2 cents worth, doesn't mean it is right. Thanks.

i was worried that the two day race would hurt things... I am thinking that the original formula may be the way to go with again.
Race #1 - 3
3 rounds of qualifying
rocket round
single a mains
double bumps
Race # 4 - 6
2 rounds of qualifying
rocket round
triple a mians
Best 4 of 6

I'm stepping up to mod in both classes.
Don't worry about pissing off tracks like that, just don't schedule a track that doesn't want us there in the first place.
Would like to see A-Main involved again.
Smaller trophies, the trash can is getting full.
Demote Ellsworth to the novice class.
