Guys lets just race and forget about it how about that. I know everyone is looking forward to the Beach as much as I am and I know John will not disappoint this year. As far as classes go I am sure that Mini, USGT and VTA will be the popular ones. Jim no one is saying you have to run USGT and Al VTA is definitely not dead. And as far as USGT being too fast for the beach. There is something called gearing. I am sure all of us will figure it out. I am looking forward to racing with all of you at the Beach and Jackson this coming outdoor season. I actually was working on my outdoor car over the past couple of day. And I do plan on racing both USGT and VTA this outdoor season. Hope all is well with everyone. Looking forward to racing outdoors!

I sure wish we were racing tonight, Chicken. Hopefully I'll see you Sunday or Wednesday.

I'll just wrap up my VTA opinion like this: VTA is dead at our permanent local tracks that run all the time. That's all I'm saying. It is alive and well at the beach and MAYBE occasional special events at Jackson or 180 (which is not local) but otherwise, when a class is not run weekly for over a year at 360 or RCCW, which are our ONLY on road local tracks - that's pretty much dead. I love VTA, nothing looks better on the track, I wish it ran more often, and I can't wait to run it again at the beach with you guys, but it's on life support in the NYC area.

What new tire and wheel are they considering? I hope it's not a dish rim, I hope it's not white, and I hope the rears are wide, or those 200mm bodies will look a little weird. The VTA/USGT rule site still shows the HPI tires/wheels as spec for VTA. Maybe someone come out with a true 190mm Vintage body. That would be a little more scale, and at least then narrow wheels will look okay.

Can't wait to see you guys all soon when the weather breaks - or at 360, Island, or RCCW!!! (I was thinking of going to Island Friday. I haven't been there in a while.)

The sign-up on RC Car World's thread is getting really good for 17.5 and USGT. Hopefully some NY'ers can make it down. It's going to be a good day there this Sunday, 3/19!

Racing was cancelled this week at 360 due to the snow. Hopefully it'll be back up this coming Wednesday, 3/22. I'm also hoping to hit Island tomorrow, 3/17. Three tracks in six days on the dirt and carpet for 17.5 buggy and 2WD SCT! Woohoo!

Haha! I'm not so wild. I went to go into my shed this morning to get my off road stuff, couldn't open the door because snow fell in front if it from the roof, and I didn't even attempt to clear it. Figured it was an omen. Plus I would have had to pull transponders out of the on road cars, and I just didn't feel like doing it. Maybe next week. This Sunday is DEFINITELY RC Car World though - and I cannot wait!

For those who do not visit the 360 thread, Donny announced that Sunday racing is now only $20 for unlimited classes! That is amazing. (Was $30 for first class and $20 each additional.)

I was there Wednesday and had a great time. Also had an amazing time at RCCW Sunday. I broke my Xray 13 T4 Sunday (the chassis bent!), but bought a used '14 T4 and ran it Wednesday. Beautiful car! Running a 1996 old-school Stratus on it - and it looks and feels awesome. Finished on the lead lap in the A in it's first night out! The '13 will be repaired and will become my USGT. The TC3 that is currently my USGT will become a VTA.

By the way, there was some buzz about VTA running at 360 very soon - possibly even this coming Sunday or Wednesday. Get 'em ready! The VTA life support pulses are starting to beat a little louder and faster!

Hey that's an idea, run two different mini classes, Silver Can and Brushless!

Run them together.... The track is pretty short, so the brushless advantage will not be too much....

We can and will run them together but you will be a little underpowered. 2 seasons ago i was still running a silver can but it was tough to compete near the top. However when i had my friend run that car last year at the one race indoor his car looked almost overpowered in the lower main.

Looks like the price of beach racing is about to go up.
