rs43 2 speed
i just bought and installed a 2 speed tranny on my nrs4 3. is the smaller spur gear (43 tooth) supposed to be loose? mine is loose, but when i run the car with the wheels off the ground, it straightens out from the spinning force. this is my first time with a two speed and i just want to make sure its supposed to be like that before i run it on the ground. i put it together following the instructions closely.

wahturi;
Just adjust for minimum gear lash without binding and everything should be fine. The side to side slop that you are seeing is the norm for everything in HPI Cars.

Try not to run your car with the wheels not on the ground , think its bad

the motor revs to high
if you want to make the car run even better put the larger 5.5mm dia. carb on the motor. i put an old traxxas carb off a tmaxx on my neighbors car and it really moves now. it now outruns the other neighbors assoc nitro tc3 rtr.

The engine over-revs, which is really bad because the engine has no load.
