Hey Jerry...

Yes, I agree. It is a little long. I don't usually have it so long....
May need to cut it down a little...

Don't want anyone " ...... putting out my fire!" ...

OK since Nick has some close I won't load it up.

GT this weekend will be an interesting experiment - first race out with a new car.

See Lon Burling Sr. he seems to have a fleet of rental pan cars

Important Update: I just got home from the track. I went in to schmooze mgmt, and they have nothing on the books for this weekend. What that means is no concession stand or comfy toilets. We have a portapotty on site. It is going to be Hot Sat and Sun. Bring plenty of water or other refreshments to stay hydrated. I'll bring a big cooler with ice for the racers traveling. If need be, I'll crank up the AC in my pit trailer for a cooling center. That being said, the track is in great shape and we are all looking forward to hosting the Midwest Nitro Cup! Safe travels! GoodRacing, Nick

The hotels closest to the track tend to be pricey, except the Red Roof Inn in Lansing. However, DON'T stay at the Red Roof Inn. Several of us tried last year, and it was less than stellar.

Other than telling you where NOT to stay, I don't have any other suggestions. I'm staying at a Holiday Inn , but that's because frequent-stay points are being used. Otherwise, it's pricey too.
