Sure, and then again a real pain to do when the kitīs all finished.but that does nothing to fix the real reason for having a bind in the first place! If I was designer for HB,I would have aspired to not do the same annoying errors more than once, twice is bad enough, but this particular bind is getting really old by now! I would like to see Kyosho, or Mugen present a new kit with a bug like that, and even worse if they did nothing to adress it, they would update the part quicker than you could say Yuichi Kanai. Dont get me wrong, i have both HB D812 and D815 V2, and i had the same problem with steering bind, and it was easy to fix for me since i have been fiddling around with rc for 15 years and im not afraid to start cutting and grinding on a brand new kit. But i can imagine this is the kind of thing that could halt a newbie and maybe lose some of that much needed enthusiasm. And thats not good for the future of RC.

Does anyone know whats up with the parts availability for this thing? Tower Hobbies lists all the parts specific to this kit as being discontinued. Things like the shock towers, shock bodies, bumpers, and some drivetrain stuff as well. They do not show up on the HB site either. The only parts listed are the parts that are common with the buggies. Are they already getting rid of this car?

Tower is no longer distribution center here. A good thing, their support sucked. Hb has told me that nothing is discontinued and most parts are avail. They appear to be restructuring themselves and looking for a solid distribution venue.

Yes, I heard that there will be a new US distributor and all parts will be in stock with new distributor once it is announced.

It's likely gonna be amain and absolute for now. Absolute has some good deals if you contact them.

Default Castor reduction

Hi there,

I'm running the RTR Serpent for now but I want to buy a new GT. I've now narrowed it down to either IGT8, the RGT8 and the Serpent 3.0 with 3.1 kit.

The IGT8 appears to be a nice car but you can only order it in the US. No Europe distri or I have to become one. With dollar pretty low (0,85 euro to the dollar) it's still an interesting bargain. However the supply of spare parts, the shipment, the availibility and the taxes more or less prevent me from buying one right now.
The Serpent seems to have it all including good availibility in the Netherlands.
Im also looking at the RGT8 as I want something else then Serpent to be honest. The only problem I have with the RGT8 is the TOO high caster for which there are no optional parts available right now. A relatively straight forward and simple custom modification like for instance on the Mugen or Xray, seem not be an easy one.
Any chance that HB / Absolute will come with a low caster front suspension arm?

regards

w.
