Default A MORE POWERFUL GLOW IGNIT0R????

Are there any ignitors out there that I can fit a larger MAH cell into? All of my ignitors have 1400-1600 mah cells in them and nothing else wil fit inside them. I have a bunch of spare loose cells I want to use and get longer use times using them to power my ignitors. Are there any other powerful alternatives for starting besides a starter box? I have had problems with them in the past and they are just inconvenient for me to carry around.

Why not just have 2?

I have 3 Hot-shots (one warranty and one extra I bought) All 3 work. I just charge up all 3 the night before and 99% of the time, I never have to go to the 2nd one.

Look at electric racing sceen. Most electric packs are around 4600 sub c cells. I would talk to electric and buy one of their practice packs that he is no longer using. break it down and your have 4-6 4600 MAH cells or better batteries. Or you move to an lantern battery with glow ignitor clip-on kit on top I've seen one of those last 1 year.

I use one of these with a sub-c 4800. Like some one posted check with the electric guys, someone always has an extra laying around.

I have 3 of them they just don't seem to last long. I charged them just like they said when I first got them.

I have one of these too and its the best by far. I have used it on a race day with 2 nitro cars having engine problems and had plenty of punch left. Low price too.

If you have a Dubro igniter, most of the newer sub c cells won't fit in it. A guy just gave me an old (but never used) Sanyo 3600 cell that fit like a glove after I pealed a layer of clear shrink wrap off of it.

Remember most of these cells come with at least 2 layers of shrink so if you have a tight one you can carefully slice one layer off.

I have a simple 1700 NiCad battery and I can use it for a complete raceweekend , I do not understand the problem than only the possibillity your cells are a bit dead.

The maximum you can get is a 2volt 10Ah acid battery with a glowplug ignitor with a cable (as most airplaine guys use)

I use the new Much More 4500mAH glow igniter. It works by twisting and locking onto the glow plug. It lasts forever too.
