I presently use this radio with satisfactory results. I also run Hi-Tec MG servos with no problem. Very smooth movement on the servos.

I have 2 racing buddies however, that have had serious problems with this radio. One lost his model on the very first run. (Completely destroyed) It was a boat $2500 US. The other noticed that his range is sometimes drastically reduced. There are some service updates on Spectrum's website that speak about this.

I personally notice that you need to make sure you keep the radio / stub antenna vertical AT ALL TIMES for best results. While racing you may tend to lower your hand, thus changing the angle of the radio and I have noticed a dropped communication link at certain points on the track for a second or so. After careful review I noticed that this happened whenever I lowered my hand.

With regards to my other friends, I suspect a heavy Wi-Fi signal in the area is what caused their problem. The radio eliminates the need to clear your channel at the local track, which is GREAT, but it will not prevent you from being affected from more powerful external interference on the same frequency. With the 2.4Ghz band becoming VERY popular in the consumer market, your chances of interference is now alot higher.
