Has anyone heard or read anything about the new Serpent 760 comming?

Just curious of where or how you heard the name or idea "760"?

Go to page 132 of the Jan 06 issue of Xtreme RC Cars. Look at the "main competition" comments in the lower left hand of the article. The Serpent 760 is listed. Usually the mags have an "inside source" than knows more than they are telling or that we are aware of and since this is an Jan issue, it is possible that the release of the new "Serpent 760" is comming after Jan 1. I have seen this before from Serpent....

O, yeah I have that issue too, I was a little bit shock when I first read that. but I'm more convinced that it's a typo on that page (MTX4 review) probably due to "rushing", aside of that, they typed 120cc for MTX4 fuel tank which is supposed to be 75cc. And just so happened that there is a review for the 2005 Evolva, the editor might be messed with the 125cc fuel tank and 960 for competitor. So my advice is that don't count too much hope on that word "760". Also if you check the 710 thread the updated car is more likely be called the 720. Hope this helps.

$5 on the name 715.....and $5 on 720......may be $2 on 760, no sure they want to mix that with the 1/8th 960....

P.S.....to be honest, if someone does "leak" the inside information, it will be hear/seen thru the INTERNET FORUM first....magazine probably is the 2nd or 3rd place to find the latest info stuff.

Very true... I couldn't have said it better myself... Look for the new car in the spring or summer driven by Serpent Team drivers first and then sell/release by the Fall of 2006...

I think SERPENT can start a "MINE LOGIC" games......guess what is the next new 200mm Serpent called game......

May be a 5 points up increment.....705, 710 and now.....715 (just incase there is a update....715.5 or 715.68)

In that case they will have to name the option parts with "0.XX" instead of words...

I think that's either because Derek Buono can't count or he's confused between a hybrid of the 710 and 960!

There's probably going to be a new car from Serpent after January ... we've been nicknaming it the 720. Rumours have ranged from it coming in January all the way to August next year, just before the WC.
