Still in practice, first qualifier tomorrow.

Scott's fastest is: 19.2
Daniel's fastest is : 19.2
And mine is 20.2 with a handling problem (no rear traction) Should be in 19's tomorrow if I can sort, even thou my set up is the same as others with the 710, none have this problem, so my set up is changing quite abit from theres.

Default Pre Worlds Results - Practise Round 1

Pre Worlds Results - Practise Round 1

Results by heat from the first round of controlled practise can be found in the attached zip file.

There is a further round of controlled practise tomorrow morning with the first round of qualifying getting underway tomorrow afternoon.

Currently the world championship website is offline for maintenance (isn't it always the way when the event starts it spits the dummy) but as soon as it is back up I will start uploading images to the gallery.

Kind Regards

Alastair Walker

Default Round 3 200mm Tourer Results

The results for round 3 of 200mm are now online. With most drivers setting their fastest times this afternoon and Simon Camilleri setting a new TQ pace.

The weather played havoc with us all day and we were unable to run round 3 of the AARCMCC QLD 8th scale heats but they will be run first thing in the morning.

We are hoping to get in 3 rounds tomorrow as long as the weather gods play fair.

More news tomorrow from the track.

Regards Alastair

Could someone post the cars and engines that the top 10 drivers in both classes are using?

It would be good to know the cars and equipment used when viewing lap times.

Thanks.

Just got home from the track, we got the lower finals completed including both 1/4 finals this evening under lights with no interruptions.

I have sent the results to the webmaster to update the worlds site and have also attached them below for those who can't wait.

Some great racing tonight with the highlight being the two quarter finals and the earlier final that ended up having 5 of the Kiwis in it racing. Talk about chatter on the drivers stand

Thank you to all the competitors for your patience in very trying weather circumstances and lets hope tomorrow lets us get in all the upper finals so we can all enjoy a great dinner and drinks at the host hotel after the mains.

Cheers Alastair

Default 200mm IFMAR PRE Worlds Winner

200mm IFMAR PRE Worlds Winner - Saturday, February 25, 2006

Congratulations and Well Done to Hang Hung Cheung from Hong Kong for winning the 200mm IFMAR PRE World Championship. In an enthraling hour long final Mr Hung came home first being one of the only drivers not to do a tyre stop. He was followed by Simon Camilleri who took second place when Steven Jovanovic ran out of fuel on the final lap dropping him to third. It was a great battle between Simon and Steven but out the front it was Mr Hung all the way from 5th on the grid and bumping up from the semis driving his RRR to victory for Kyosho.

All the results are available on the Worlds Website and pictures of all the finals will be uploaded later on as we are all off to the awards banquet now at the Clear Mountain Hotel.

Next up The Worlds In September and if this event was anything to go by it should be a cracker.

Regards Alastair
