I just tweaked my G4s chassis the other day and so i just bought the G4+ chassis (4mm). I've heard it's to rigid, is this true?

If so does anyone have any set-up tips to compensate for it?

Thanks

If not mistaken the 32 will not be a good idea.
You can buy the 30 tooth ally pully and use it with the Kfactory light weight spool or on a diff.

Do a search in the G4S thread, there is also a excell spread sheet the guys put together that can help with ratios and overdrive.
Thanks mate i just ordered the 30t front pulley, Do you know the web address for serpent?

That's a great help thanks razzor. Good that you can see any change when you play around with pinions and spurs sizes straight away like that.

Default UFO2 clutch shoe wear

hi guys,
those using UFO2 clutch set; do you notice that the shoe wears with a 'step'? it happens as the shoe is of same diameter size as the bell and unlike the UFO1 shoe where it's smaller than the bell and thus the shoe will go 'into' the bell...

any of UFO2 users find that as the shoe wears; the clutch will tend to slip more? reason being the shoe wears faster on the inner (where it goes into the bell) and wears slower at the outer edge.

hope you understand what i'm trying to say...

what shoe are you using as there is a bit of a range now when it comes to how hard the material is used I have used the new brown shoe but had more success with the white for some reason maybe less slip?I have not really noticed what you have described probably cause I change and or cycle my shoes regularly.
cheers

The clutch setup gets more critical when you use the harder shoes as tehy slip more but can overheat and get glazed easilly if you just have that extra bit of spring tension.
I prefer to use the standard black shoe because it just works more consistent over a wider setup window.
The red shoes slip far too much but i havent tried the white shoes.
A buddy modified the Serpent yellow shoe and it works very well too.

I know this sounds silly question but how do you know if your clutch is slipping, can you hear it?

clutch slip=your clutch simply needs a higher rpm to engage the higher the rpm needed the more slippage you have. give the white shoes a go I know they are softer and are supposably for high grip tracks but I find they grab very well and get the power down consistantly.
cheers

ya...clutch slipping sure sounds different.

in order to confirm; check the inner of yr clutch bell where the shoe hits; if it's shiny it's slipping!
it should still have the clutch bell color if it's not slipping.
