Maybe give a try and dial out some exponential on your radio or reduce throttle speed.

the black spring is hard, and i tightened to just see 1 thread . so not alot of preload on the spring, the no weights in the shoes make it lighter, so yes it will engage later, but also with out weight behind it. so it wont be as snappy.
hard spring and light weights. then adjust the spring as required. low traction 10K diff oil , and the rest is roll centers and springs. good luck.
yup, i believe throttle FINGER plays the most important part...

btw, how much harder is the black spring compared with the yellow spring? (since both are 1.8mm)

Black spring just works beter and doesnt get coil bind like the yellow one.
Better yet is just get a Mugen super hard or JP hard spring.
They work much better and dont bend/tweek to oneside like the TM1.8 black spring.

what i actually found was that the retaining plate insert, that the spring sits on, actually interfered with the flyout shoes. so once they flew out, they didnt return all the way back. they went as far back as the insert would let them. since one side of the spring didnt actually touch the retainer plate as much, that flyout seemed to be the one that didnt return properly. this is what i found kinked the spring, and made the clutch shoe wear uneven.
my resolution was to taper the flyouts in the center enough so there was sufficient gap between the flyout shoes and the retainer insert. i never had a clutch shoe wear bad after that and the clutch felt more consistent also. im guessing with the heat as well, the black spring would kink like Razzor said with the uneven preload on it from the flyout shoe.

Is there any shop in the US that carries G4RS parts other than wolfhobbies and ultraline? I need the rear suspension arms and wolfhobbies is out of stock right now. Can't order overseas as I need them by next Sunday.

I would say your best chance is to get a set off someone off here.......... I would get some to you but I'm on my last set and waiting for a batch to come through too.

Your only other way I would consider is through RCshopping.com they are usually prity consistant at taking 4 days to get the stuff to you.
