Thanks Al. I have your setup posted on my setup page along with Darren Johnson's setup. This should help all of us get some base setup ideas and then tune for track from these points.

Thanks

Sam

Default G4S Running Time

Hi to all,

How much running time are you getting out of the G4S battery pack that was included in the KIT.
I'm running KO digital servos and the pack didnt last even 30min.

Dunno about run time but the first charge only took 10 minutes, 2nd charge took 25, third and fourth charges took 40.
First charge as for set up day (Saturday) with the 2nd charge after 20 minutes of radio use. Third charge on race day for 4 rounds qualifying (5 mins + warm up) and fourth ready for the finals.

Good showing guys! Our set up is almost similar to Al's set up - we are using 1.6 in front and 1.7 in the rear (we will try al's set up tom). Our time in our track is .3 sec slower than the mugen mtx 4 - we are slowly getting faster just having a hard time adjusting to the g4s because it is totally different from the g4evo.
What is the difference between the new rear belt tensioner compared to the old one? I went back to the old tensioner because it seems to be more stable on on-power steering than the new one. Also, I changed the new bevel shaft in the gear diff with the old one because the new one seems to make the diff harder with 10K diff oil.
Any suggestions and comments?
Thanks!

we found the battery needs to be cycled a few times to bring it up.

Does the G4S use the same steering knuckles as the G4evo?
Or are they the hardened composite K-racing ones?

Ditto the A arms.

one half amp. no more than 1. one half amp will provide the longest run time.

Just want to say, good job to all the guys that went to Ft. Myers and ran the new car with Dennis. After only having the car in hand for a couple of weeks, you all did very well.
