Sorry Kodak,
I didn't see your post asking about the clutch weights

The weights make the clutch engage harder and quicker. I think more consistantly too.
The less weight you have in the more gradual slip you have in the clutch.
I would say if you run less weights in, you might also run a very slightly larger clutch gap too. Then you will feel a difference.

With the red clutch shoes. They are harder so kind of do the same thing as running with less clutch weights in. The clutch 'take-up' is less abrupt, more gradual. But still grips hard when fully engaged.

Should give less wheel spin when set up correctly.

Its hard to explain but do you get what I mean?

i gotcha ya bro - all goodness man "just that some dude up at our track said that you dont need the weights, you can gain power on them out as its MASS rotating etc = power loss!!!

i might try no weights and see if i do notice any differance!

This theory in my opinion has got some credibility, less rotating mass will definitely allow our motors too spool up quicker. The same effect as a lightened flywheel in a real car or am i completly wrong

cheers man, but i was thinking of that theory like normal car, so less weights or even no weights sure to gain some extra revs down low...

ill try with the new setup as Brenton MTX4 driver at LH said throw em away that will only hold ya back....!

I can always try i guess

sorry for the late reply Menace, was chatting to D, lol and working hard on my car somewhere amongst it as well. Yes tommorow is round 2
sponsor change (CMM racing, no change from Racedays still as usual of great service) and new body all completed, new K factory foams, and redid all shocks and diff oils. just setup station to go now. looking forward to tommorow, as i have the LS3 back in it. had a go with the collari sirio last round. all good, so hope i can repeat G4S 1-2. hope the sun shines soon and melts that snow, so you all can race, so we can see how everyones doing with the new upgrades and trans. all feedback is good feedback. i will let you guys know how the kfactory foams go tommorow. well i do hope, since i got me a few sets, lol. untill tommorow,

Nice one BK
Good to see you're giving the toothbrushes a break and racing noisy cars for a change
Are you coming out tomorrow for a practice/ setup day BK?
