Skyline GTR - has good straightline handling.
Honda Civic - I hear handles pretty good.
Acura RSX - Ok handling as well.

Im not sure what the GTR is classified as , but the hondas are sport coupe bodies. I dont care what type of body is run as long as there is some departure from the regular line up.

Either way if it handles well and it looks like something other than the stratus. Im in , lol! Keep up the good work Dale!!! We dont get many other race bodies so Ill take anything.

We started a class like this at our club (albeit electric TC) and it has worked great; Hpi or Tamiya 2 door bodies only; excluding the Escudo, and a few others. The turnout went from 10-15 to 25 to 30. Everybody wants to run their dream car, not a parma Alfa or PF 90s 'K' car V3.5. We're also encouraging sticking with the 'race' paint schemes instead of the chopper flame jobs. I'm running an HPI 98 impreza and it handles very well on carpet with rubber tires.. better than at least one competition CDAN body. I might even be inclined to try the '22B' this summer in a serious nitro series.

A GT1 class would be awsome. Tamiya already runs a GT1 class is they're TCS series right? If there is ever a touring car track started where I live I'd definately be in for a GT1 class, I can't image any one wants to run G6's and Stratus'.

btw- Dale that C6R is wicked, way nicer looking than the old C6 street you guys had before.

In the TCS GT1 and GT2 refer to stock and modified, I forget which is which. And at a TCS race you have to run a Tamiya body. I think that's why that series is popular, the more to scale appearance of the bodies.

I've seen guys run different bodies with great success. Like the HPI Acura NSX, CLK GTR, Porshe 911GT1 et. It would be cool to run these bodies.

Hi guys just thought I would put in my thoughts on the vett body. My old body on my v-one s was originaly a vett before I changed to legal bodies. It was a kyosho made body so it may be different to the protoform that you are talking about.

1. Damn fast in a straight line.

2. Very balanced front and rear downforce.

3. A lot more downforce all around

4. Windows in a much better position for cooling holes and access to motor.

The fact that it was obviously a vett screeming down the straight and not some random looking four door sedan was a bonus.

I agree with you on that Dale.
It would be nice to see the rules relfect what is going on in real racing. Would be more interesting for us all around.

And its street legal!!! Le Mans rules state it has to be street legal to race. It also has a fake second seat (old Le Mans tradition when the mech rode in the car) making it touring sedan, same basic class as a Mazda Miata (compact touring sedan).
