Came 3 days early.
Anyways, I'm having some fitment issues with the new engine. I didn't put the engine mounts on yet, but I can already tell that it's rubbing on this plastic piece near where the flywheel would sit, and I won't be able to mount it to the chassis, so I'm just going to take it up to the hobby shop and let them swap everything over for $30 or so, and hopefully get that worked out. I'd rather rest assure knowing it was done right. I just hope everything fits ok. All I've done so far is swap the header over, which fit fine and is only sitting on the pullstarter, which is how it was on the old engine. Mounted flush to the engine though with no problem of the pullstarter getting in the way. Had some gaskets laying around so I figured I'd do that since I was bored.
For those who didn't see the other thread. It's an RS-4 with an OS .18 CV-RX.
Here's a pic of it with the old engine.
And this is the part that is in the way. What the hell is it? It looks and feels pointless.
: Well, it appears to be the brake disc, and I'm not going to have any trouble.
I was lining it up with the previous holes where the old motor came from, instead of the 4 slotted holes. Now it looks like it's going to clear just fine, and my car will still have the ability to stop haha
