Talking of radio problems, my servos are having trouble moving the tyres and throttle. Put some foam backing on the receiver, made sure the crystal wasn't lose but still struggling. Help!

Now to answer your question, check the transmitter's AND receivers batteries, make sure BOTH crystals are firmly in and not damaged and check that you extened the aerial on the transmitter.

Most cars can be run at least 200yards away. If your having trouble at 150 feet it could just be really bad intereference. Try another location see if the results are the same.

most common radio problem that i have faced :

- low battery
-crystals
- short or torn antenna wires
- receivers
-transmitter moduls

for the receivers u can open it and "clean" it up with hair drier to blow dust and moisture away...

good luck

I send my radio in every 2 years to be re-calibrated, I never get glitched or loose signal.

This is sort of not related, but some ratio equipment is very susceptible to vibrations, as I found out today when my car decided to kangaroo and steer left and right erratically when it shifted into 2nd. completely puzzled by this I started to diagnose the problem. guess what it was, it was caused by an unbalanced wheel of all things! it vibrated so much so when the car went into 2nd gear the rx would malfunction and throw out incorrect signals to the servos, no loose external wires just an rx that hated being shuck around!!
and they say solid state electronics is completely shock resistant, yeah right!
I bet when I take it apart I find a dry solder joint or somethin
