Anyone can provide some advice.
Can any .12 engine be used on Tamiya TG10 Mk2, it mentioned it requires a SG shaft engine. What is an SG shaft engine?
Go with the Kyosho FW-05 due to it having more spur gear choices than the TG10-mk.2. I have the Tamiya and my racing buddy had the FW-05. With the right engine, both are quicker off the line than the belt-drive cars, but do suffer from torque steer in on-power turns. We like our cars and run them at club-level races. We do have other nitro tourers, but like the simplicity of these shaft-driven cars.
SG shaft is also known as pilot shaft in some circles. It is a smooth shaft with a short bunch of threads in the middle of the shaft which is designed for the centax-style clutch system.
